Archery
This is a beginner’s Archery Class which provides step by step instruction on shooting a bow at targets, establishing a good understanding of range estimation, and archery safety. Learn how to fit and choose bows and arrows for yourself. Participants will have plenty of time to hone shooting skills at the bow range.

Canoeing
First Nations people created the canoe as a means for transportation and for hunting, nowadays canoeing is one of the easiest and most relaxing ways to enjoy outdoors. Our voyager canoe trips will be an awesome group experience with space for 10 participants per boat, incredibly swift and stable, and an exhilarating way to explore Land Between the Lakes.

Elk & Bison Prairie Tour
Land Between The Lake’s Elk & Bison Prairie offers a native grassland habitat common in Kentucky more than a century ago. Elk and bison roam free within this 700-acre enclosure. Participants will travel in vans via a 3.5-mile paved loop road. Numerous other wildlife species also thrive in the prairie. Wild turkeys, a variety of birds, small game, butterflies, and prairie mammals find sanctuary in the prairie.

Hook & Cook - Fishing
Catch the fishing fever with this class and develop basic skills needed to catch fish: casting, tying knots, identifying fish and choosing equipment. Practice new skills on the state park’s beautiful lakes. Requirements: hat, glasses or sunglasses, and fishing license for participants aged 16-65.

Go on a guided hike and learn how to really see things along the trail. The beauty of nature is sometimes found in hidden places. Flip logs, identify critters, walk in a creek, identify plants, and look at nature with an adventurer’s eye using Inaturalist, one of the top smartphone apps for ID. Using all your senses, you will gain skills to become a pro at observing nature safely and with respect for our wild spaces.
